Distraction

Funny thing about this picture I found while reading on press article on english elections. It's about the guy circled in red on the pic. He's been sacked from the labour party for having insulted tories on twitter… but despite their red circle, my eye immediatly focused on another person, can you see who? It makes these people all the more real to me but obviously, his taylor is not rich!

My latest work. The unlikely encounter of Minotaur and a matador, will he be graceful? Line work, collage, texturing to achieve this old engraving look. This one was rejected on one site cause they thought it was scanned from a book (which makes me thing I've managed not too bad…;^)) and for violent content. On Threadless. Since there's still questions about how I do these… Here are the pictures I based myself on & the linework before texturing. So yup, it doesn't come from scratch & as far as I'm concerned, it's not about the skill - there are an infinite number of great illustrators out there that I wouldn't dare to compete with - so it's more about achieving the right style for the right design.

Mon dernier. Le rencontre improbable du minotaure et d'un torero. Dessin, collage et texturage pour arriver à cet effet de gravure ancienne. Refusé sur une premier site, ils ont cru que c'était un scan d'ue gravure (ce qui veut dire que je m'en suis bien sorti) et pour violence. Sur Threadless… + les images sur lesquelles je me suis basé et le dessin au trait…

mystery project

Visuals and logo researches for a secret project (I should not be showing these) - a new show to be hosted on a famous U.S. entertainement channel and to be filmed by a certain J. M.… Since I worked for free on a spoken deal, the deal being you'll see money and more work if this works, and since the client looks all but OK, and probably think they can use freelancers to get the job done without any counterpart. I'm putting this here as a trace, in case it just pops out in a year or too without me knowing about it… Recherche de logo et visuel pour une série sur une chaine de divertissement très connue des U.S., en phase de pré-prod. réalisée par un certain J. M. Compet. non rémunérée, et le client m'ayant tout l'air d'être tout sauf reglo, je les poste ici pour avoir une trace… au cas où ça finirait par réapparaitre sans aucune contre-partie…
